Description
Here's my try at photography.This
I put it in a shoe box, fed it lettuce scraps and it turned into this little
I think it's waving me goodbye ^_^
Nothing special done with this one, used my old Cannon PowerShot G2 4.0 Mega Pixel camera. Since my camera doesn't really have anything fancy besides from macro shot, I sharpened it and altered the curves slightly in photoshop. Not sure if that classes as a photomanip, but please let me know if it is
C&C's welcome as always

blackshad, yeh it is quite ugly, should've seen it when it was all dry and out, it was a shiny silver. It was a very pretty moth

Nice close-up, Amanda! I like the sharpness and the crop here.
Well done!

nice shot. keep it on!

ok firstly it is sharp & the colors look good !!
Now if u were to show it getting out of the cocoon. I would have preferred a slightly angled shot maybe from the side, so as to show the size of the cocoon. The front on shot doesn't let any perspective !!
Composition wise there is far too much dead space on either side of ur subject & comparatively a bit tight at the top.
keep shooting & comment on as many artworks as u can , it is also a way to learn!!

nice and sharp, would have been good seeing more of the cocoon, but then you would lose the cuteness factor! (I can't get over the tongue!!)

Thanks Dakoo especially, lots of helpful tips!
I tried to get slightly more of the cocoon in, but the sun would get in the way and throw it out of focus. I think I need a camera that has manual focus or something. But im saving up for a DSLR
